On the fence, I confess
Take your time without all the stress
Medicine, I forget
Days and nights are blurred into mess
Every now and then I pretend
Just to see the smile on your chin
Once again I defend
And crawl back in my backboneless skin
I promise you now that I’m on it
You’re acting as though I don’t want it
As if you have always been honest (x2)
On the fence, I confess
Take your time without all the stress
Medicine, I forget
Days and nights are blurred into mess
My keeper, my tonic
Sedate me, I’ll bomb it
I knew what you wanted (I see you)
Your number, I’ve got it
Your details, your bullshit
The lack of a conscience (I see you) (x2)
Get up, get up
Get up, get up
Get up, get up (I see you)
Get up, get up (x2)
My keeper, my tonic
Sedate me, I’ll bomb it
I knew what you wanted (I see you)
Your number, I’ve got it
Your details, your bullshit
The lack of a conscience (I see you)
I promise you now that I’m on it
You’re acting as though I don’t want it
As if you have always been honest (x2)
Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. RIP, Phil PaintedDogs
