Everything and everyone
Fading over time
As everything we’ve ever done
Streams from yours to mine
Deep into the night
Thinking how we’d just begun
Traces there to find the things we should’ve overcome
Anchored in my mind’s eye, we choose to fight
Beneath you, beneath you
Hand on heart, I can hear the pride of lions call
Hand on my heart, hand on my soul, we fall
Hand on my heart, I can tell you I feel it all
There’s a beacon up ahead
Words don’t make a sound
Never speaking up again
Faces all around, all asounded now
Ears are filling up with sand
The world can see you now, and everything you can’t defend
Take it to your crowd, go and take a bow
Beneath you, beneath you
Hand on heart, I can hear the pride of lions call
Hand on my heart, hand on my soul, we fall
Hand on my heart, I can tell you I feel it all
See those waves from the words we saved
Crashing down for days, while I’ve been down for days
There’s no place for how you behaved
But I can count the ways, coz I’ve been up for days
I have this feeling that I’ve never really ever had
I’m climbing ceilings in these places where I never have
Still I know you better than you do (x2)
Better than you do
Now I’m in a place where I can erase this
I’m in a place where I can erase this
I’m in a place where I can erase this
I’m in a place where I can erase this
I’m in a place where I can erase this
Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. RIP, Phil PaintedDogs
